Summary in Plain Words
There are no third-party tracking SDKs from Facebook, Google, or TikTok in the app. We do not require any personally identifiable information to join a roll. If you create an account, we store your information securely and never sell it. Your photos are stored securely and are only visible to people in your roll. We use anonymous analytics only to improve the app.
What We Collect
- If you create an account with Apple Sign-In or email, we store your email and display name to provide the service. We never sell or share these with outside parties.
- If you join a roll as a guest, we store only the display name you enter. No email, no phone number, no account.
- Photos you upload are stored securely and are only accessible to members of that specific roll.
- If you enable push notifications, we store a device token to deliver them. This token is not tied to your identity.
- We use random tokens to keep you logged in. Our server software stores basic technical information, such as your device model and app version.
Photos
Photos in a roll are private by default. Only people who have the QR code or invite link can see them. Photos are stored securely and are never used for advertising, training AI models, or any purpose other than displaying them within the roll. When a roll is deleted, all associated photos are permanently removed.
Analytics
Monoroll collects anonymous statistics, such as the percentage of users who use particular features, to improve the app. We do not build individual profiles for advertising.
Ads
Monoroll does not display ads in the app and collects nothing related to advertising. We may run advertising campaigns on third-party platforms using Apple's SKAdNetwork, which measures ad performance at the operating system level without tracking individual users or sharing your personal data.
How Information is Used
We use the information we collect to operate and improve the app. We do not share personal information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to provide the service.
We may disclose your information in response to legal requirements, to protect our rights, or to prevent fraud or abuse.
Your Rights
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app or by emailing us at privacy@monoroll.app.
Children
Monoroll is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
California Privacy Rights
We comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). We will not distribute your personal information to outside parties without your consent.
European Users
By using Monoroll, you authorize us to collect, use, and store your information outside of the European Union. We process data lawfully under GDPR on the basis of consent and legitimate interest.
